Vision & Venture — Your vision. Built for your venture.

What should be on a small business homepage?

A homepage has one job: help a visitor work out, quickly, whether you're the right business for them — and make the next step easy if you are.

Above the fold

What you do, who it's for, where you work, and one clear action. If a stranger can't summarise your business after five seconds on the page, rewrite it.

Then: services, briefly

A short, scannable summary of what you offer, each linking to a proper page. The homepage introduces; the service pages sell.

Then: proof

Real work, real photos, real words from real customers. Only ever genuine. Fabricated proof is both obvious and legally risky.

Then: how it works, and how to start

Remove the uncertainty about what happens if someone contacts you. A three-step process and a simple form close a surprising number of gaps.
