Website costs & pricing
Our prices are published so you can work out whether we're in budget before you speak to anyone.
How much does a small business website cost?
Our websites start at £1,000 for the Launch package. Growth is £3,000 and Scale is £5,000, with larger or more complex projects quoted individually. The difference is size, depth of content and how much search work goes in — not how much care we take.
What is included in the £1,000 Launch package?
A professional, mobile-first website for a small business: design in your brand, the core pages you actually need, contact and enquiry routes, basic on-page SEO, Google Business Profile pointers and a proper launch. It then runs on Managed Hosting & Care at £49 a month.
What is included in the £3,000 Growth package?
A bigger site with more service and location content, stronger design work, deeper technical SEO and conversion detail. It comes with £444 a month ongoing, which covers Managed Hosting & Care plus Growth SEO — the monthly work that makes search a genuine source of enquiries.
What is included in the £5,000 Scale package?
Scale suits businesses with several services, multiple locations or a bigger sales job to do. You get a larger site, more content, more considered design and a wider search strategy, with £744 a month ongoing covering Managed Hosting & Care plus Scale SEO.
Why do you charge monthly for hosting?
Because a website isn't a finished object — it needs a server, an SSL certificate, backups, security and platform updates, and someone paying attention when something breaks. The £49 a month covers that properly rather than pretending it's free and quietly letting the site rot.
What does the £49 Managed Hosting & Care plan include?
Fast UK-facing hosting, SSL, automated backups, platform and security updates, uptime monitoring and a sensible allowance of small content edits each month. It's the difference between a site that still works in three years and one that doesn't.
Can I start with Launch and upgrade later?
Yes, and plenty of clients do. We build Launch sites so they can be extended rather than thrown away, so adding pages, content or ongoing SEO later is a step up, not a rebuild.
Do you offer custom website quotes?
Yes. If your project doesn't fit Launch, Growth or Scale — unusual functionality, a large site, an integration with software you already use — we'll scope it and quote a fixed price before any work starts.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. Website projects are 50% on booking and 50% on completion before the site goes live. The deposit reserves your production slot in the diary.
What costs might be extra?
Your domain registration, premium stock photography, paid fonts, third-party software subscriptions, professional photography, copywriting beyond what's in your package, and any work outside the agreed scope. We tell you the cost before we do it — never afterwards.
Website design & development
How the build actually runs, and what we need from you along the way.
How long does a website take to build?
Typically three to six weeks for a Launch site and six to ten for Growth or Scale. The single biggest factor is how quickly content and feedback come back — the design and build rarely holds things up.
How many pages does my website need?
Fewer than most people expect, but one strong page per service you actually want enquiries for. A home page, service pages, an about page, proof of your work and a contact page will out-perform twenty thin pages every time.
Do you write the website copy?
Yes — we write the copy for most projects, based on a proper conversation about your business, your customers and the jobs you want more of. If you'd rather write it yourself, that's fine too and we'll guide the structure.
Can you use my existing branding?
Absolutely. If you have a logo, colours and fonts you're happy with, we design around them. If your branding is tired or inconsistent, we'll say so and suggest a light tidy-up rather than pushing a full rebrand you don't need.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes, and it's a large part of what we do. A redesign usually means keeping what works — content that ranks, pages that convert — and fixing what doesn't: dated design, slow loading, poor mobile experience and weak enquiry routes.
Can you migrate my existing website?
Yes. We move sites between platforms regularly, mapping every existing URL, redirecting anything that changes and carrying over the content that's earning its place.
Will I own my website?
Yes. Once the project is paid for, the design and the site built for you are yours, along with your content and your domain. We don't hold anything hostage.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes, if you want to. We can set up straightforward editing for the parts you'll realistically change — text, images, prices, team members — and show you how. Most clients prefer to send us edits, which is what the monthly allowance is for.
Can you build custom functionality?
Often, yes — booking enquiries, quote calculators, member areas, integrations with tools you already use. We'll be honest about whether it's worth the cost, and whether an existing product would do the job better.
Do you build e-commerce websites?
We build small, focused online shops rather than large multi-thousand-product stores. If you're selling at that scale, a dedicated e-commerce specialist will serve you better and we'll say so.
What platform do you build websites on?
We choose the platform to fit the job rather than forcing every client onto the same one. What matters more is that the site is fast, secure, easy to update and built so search engines can read it properly.
Can you improve my current website without rebuilding it?
Sometimes, yes. If the underlying site is sound, targeted work on speed, structure, content and enquiry routes can be far better value than a rebuild. We'll tell you honestly which one your site needs.
SEO
Search is where most small-business enquiries begin. Here's how we approach it, and what it can and can't promise.
What is SEO?
Search engine optimisation is the work of making your website more likely to appear when someone searches for what you do. In practice it's three things: a site search engines can read, content that answers real searches, and signals that you're a credible business.
What is local SEO?
Local SEO targets searches tied to a place — 'damp proofing Sutton Coldfield', 'football coaching near me'. It leans heavily on your Google Business Profile, reviews, consistent business details and location-specific pages on your site.
Is SEO included in every website package?
Sound on-page SEO foundations are in every build — structure, speed, headings, metadata, indexing. Ongoing SEO, which is the monthly work that moves rankings over time, is included in Growth and Scale and available as an add-on to Launch.
What does ongoing SEO include?
Technical improvements, new and improved content, on-page optimisation, local visibility work including your Google Business Profile, internal linking, and a monthly report in plain English showing what was done and what moved.
Why is SEO an ongoing service?
Because your competitors keep working, Google keeps changing, and search demand shifts. A one-off optimisation ages badly. Ongoing SEO is buying a programme of work each month, not a one-time fix.
How long does SEO take to work?
Usually three to six months before movement is meaningful, and longer in competitive sectors or with a brand-new domain. Anyone promising results in weeks is either lucky or not being straight with you.
Can you guarantee first-page Google rankings?
No, and nor can anyone else — search engines control their own results. What we guarantee is the work: a defined programme each month, reported openly, using methods that are within search engine guidelines and won't put your site at risk.
What happens if I stop SEO?
The work already done stays on your site, so you don't fall off a cliff. But rankings tend to drift as competitors keep publishing and improving. You keep everything we've built; you just stop adding to it.
Can you improve an existing website's SEO?
Yes. We often take on sites we didn't build. We start with a technical and content review, fix what's holding it back, then build from there.
Do you create service pages and location pages?
Yes — properly written ones. A useful page per service and per genuine location you serve, each with real detail. We don't produce dozens of near-identical location pages with the town name swapped out; that approach stopped working years ago.
Do you help with Google Business Profile?
Yes. For most local businesses it's the single highest-return thing to get right, so we set it up or clean it up, get the categories and details correct, and keep it active as part of ongoing SEO.
Do you set up Google Search Console?
Yes, on every project. It's how we see what Google actually thinks of your site — what's indexed, what's broken, what people are searching to find you. You get access to it too.
Do you track rankings and performance?
Yes. We track target keywords, visibility, traffic and — most importantly — enquiries, and report monthly. Rankings are a means to an end; the number that matters is how much work came in.
What is the difference between SEO and paid advertising?
Paid ads buy visibility instantly and stop the moment you stop paying. SEO is slower to build but compounds, and the traffic keeps arriving without a per-click cost. Many businesses use ads for the short term while SEO builds underneath.
Website redesigns & migrations
The riskiest part of any redesign is what happens to the visibility you already have. This is how we protect it.
Will I lose my Google rankings if you redesign my website?
Not if the redesign is handled properly. Rankings are usually lost when content that earned them is deleted and URLs change without redirects. We map the site first, keep what's working and plan the move before anything is switched over.
What happens to my existing URLs?
Where a URL still makes sense we keep it exactly as it is. Where it changes, the old address is redirected permanently to the closest match so both visitors and search engines land in the right place.
Do you use redirects during a website migration?
Yes — a full 301 redirect map is part of every migration, checked after launch to catch anything that slipped through. It's unglamorous work and it's exactly where most migrations go wrong.
Can you keep content that already ranks well?
Yes, and we usually insist on it. Pages that already bring in traffic get carried over and improved rather than rewritten from scratch for the sake of it.
Can you redesign only part of a website?
Yes. A partial redesign — home page and key service pages, for example — is often the sensible option when the rest of the site is working perfectly well.
Can you move my existing domain?
Yes. We handle pointing your domain at the new site, and if you'd like to move registrar we'll walk you through it. The domain stays in your name and your ownership throughout.
Can you migrate an existing website to a new platform?
Yes. We'll audit what's there, agree what comes across, rebuild it properly on the new platform and manage the redirects and testing around go-live.
Hosting & support
What the monthly £49 covers, and what happens if you ever want to leave.
What does managed hosting mean?
It means we look after the server side so you never have to think about it: hosting, SSL, backups, updates, security and monitoring, with someone to call when something's wrong.
Is SSL included?
Yes, on every site we host. Your site loads over HTTPS with a valid certificate that renews automatically.
What happens if my website goes down?
Our monitoring flags it and we investigate. Because backups run automatically, the worst case is usually a quick restore rather than a rebuild.
Can you make changes after launch?
Yes. Small content changes — new prices, updated text, swapped photos, a new team member — are part of Managed Hosting & Care. Larger pieces of work are quoted separately before we start.
How much website support is included each month?
A reasonable allowance of small edits and fixes, which covers what a typical small business actually needs. If a request goes beyond that we'll tell you what it costs before doing it.
Does unused support time roll over?
No — it's a care plan rather than a bank of hours. In practice we're not clock-watching over a paragraph change; we're keeping the site healthy month to month.
What happens if I cancel hosting?
You give thirty days' notice, we export the site and hand it over, and you keep everything you've paid for. No exit fees and no hostage-taking.
Can I move my website elsewhere later?
Yes. It's your site. We'll provide the files and reasonable help to get another provider up and running.
Who owns my domain?
You do — always. We recommend the domain is registered in your business's name, and if it currently isn't, we'll help you get it moved.
Who we work with
We're a small studio, so we're honest about where we're strongest — and where someone else would serve you better.
Do you work with trades and home-service businesses?
Yes, and it's some of our favourite work. Damp proofing, decorating, blinds, property maintenance — businesses where the website's job is to look credible and turn a local search into a phone call.
Do you build websites for coaches and consultants?
Yes. Coaching and consultancy sites live or die on trust, so the focus goes into proof, clarity about who you help, and making it easy to take the first step.
Do you work with education businesses?
Yes — tutoring, training and children's activity businesses among them. They usually need clear parent-facing information, straightforward booking enquiries and strong local visibility.
Do you work with startups and new businesses?
Yes. If you're starting out, Launch is usually the right call: a proper site that makes you look established from day one, built so it can grow when the work does.
Do you only work with businesses in Sutton Coldfield?
No. We're based in Sutton Coldfield and know the local market well, but that's where we are rather than who we're limited to.
Do you work with businesses elsewhere in the UK?
Yes — we work with businesses across the UK, and local SEO works the same way wherever your patch happens to be.
Can you work with a business remotely?
Yes, and most projects run that way: a video call to start, everything else by email and call. If you're nearby and would rather meet, we're happy to.
Working with Vision & Venture
What the relationship looks like from your side of the table.
Who will I deal with?
Us. There's no account manager relaying messages to a team you never meet, and nothing is passed to an offshore production line.
Will I work directly with Levi and Amy?
Yes. We run projects ourselves, from the first conversation through to launch and beyond. It's the main advantage of hiring a small studio.
What do you need from me before starting?
A conversation about the business, any branding you already have, photos if you have them, and a named person who can give feedback and approve decisions. We handle the rest.
How many revisions are included?
Two rounds of consolidated feedback at design stage and two at build stage, which is plenty when feedback is gathered in one go. Further rounds or a change of direction after sign-off are quoted first.
What happens if I change my mind during the project?
Tell us early and it's usually straightforward. Changes after a stage has been approved may affect cost and timeline, and we'll always tell you what the impact is before doing anything.
Can you help if I don't know what pages I need?
Yes — that's a normal starting point. We work it out from what you sell, who buys it and what people search for, then propose a structure before any design work begins.
Do you help with photography or branding?
We'll advise on both, arrange a photographer where it's worth the investment, and do light brand tidying — logo refinement, colour and type — as part of a build. Full brand identity projects are quoted separately.
How do we get started?
Send us a few details about your business and what you're after. We'll come back personally, usually with a couple of questions, then arrange a call and put a fixed price in writing.
Question not answered here?
Ask us directly — you'll get a straight answer from one of us, not a sales script. If you're weighing up packages, the pricing page sets out exactly what sits in each one, and our work shows the sort of results we're talking about.
Some questions need more room than an accordion. We've written longer answers on builders versus a designer, building it yourself, AI website builders, SEO versus Google Ads, how many pages a website needs and what maintenance actually costs.
